@BRocks74610 Kate was solid in college too.Amihere was definitely not a guarenteed contract. She hardly played last year and Kate played in 42 games. The ones who played the least amount of minutes in their preseason game were the ones who eventually got cut (Reese, Suarez, Fasoula, ducharme)

@LVMM198 Yeah but Amihere been solid since college days. She plays with a chip on her shoulder and is versatile. That was a guaranteed contract. The ones that play more in the preseason game are the ones that get evaluated.

@BRocks74610 Because they found out Rupert was pregnant the week rosters were due and didn’t have another big outside of Kiah stokes. So took Amihere instead. Most around the Valks figured Kate was staying and think the pregnancy news changed things.

@noseyspam3 No one said the sparks are great but I for sure know KP, Nneka and the rest of the starting five are better than the rookies. That’s a fact, the W ain’t easy you get minutes because you deserve them. Don’t cry because your 2nd round rookies aren’t getting 20 minutes a game

This is the pros, a permanent roster spot shouldn’t be guaranteed off popularity. Did u forget she couldn’t get off the bench in unrivaled?

They want to keep players who aren’t producing on the bench and not Kate who just scored 11 and was the only positive +/- on the team a week after joining. Even KP said she will be super impactful for them.

@gfunkera882 @darealbballwife No she would not, Kate is very likable and a great teammate. She already has more playing experience with KP and Cam and has known Rae, Erica and Hamby longer than the rookies. But I think they are safe, park or cannon gotta go

@raya4 Curious why you don’t think it’s deserved? She likely will be more productive than a few on their current bench. LA could have just done what Atlanta did with Nye and cut one of their players initially but didn’t to see how it went. It’s clear she needs a spot.

I'm convinced that LA coach is about to cut one of their players to give Kate Martin a full spot. I'm not saying it's deserved necessarily but I think she's going to do it.

@Lisa67828968239 @valkyriesreport I knew when Charles and tip were re-singed, Kate was going to get less time. We’ll see how that decision pans out but yeah for Kate to uproot her life a week ago and move to a new city and team (after getting injured) and come out and do what she did says a lot.

@LVMM198 @valkyriesreport Get it, but feel KM acclimated and recovered (mentally+physically) more in a week than anyone. Don't know many players that could do what she did. She belongs in the W. If GSV have other plans for culture and family so be it...Tip and Charles re-signings were the issue for Kate.

@Lisa67828968239 @valkyriesreport 100% because she had many games like she had tonight for the Valks as well. It’s like some Valks fans forgot that. I love tip but don’t understand re-signing her when she’s injured half the time. Juste is there I guess but getting a week to acclimate/recover.

Didn't see GSV report the grade of JJ's grade sprain or even her whereabouts? Tip injured again? I'll take Kate every time.

@Lisa67828968239 @wbbmayer I think there are good leaders on this team like Nneka and wheeler and KP who won’t let the environment get bad even if they are losing. I really do like her fit on the court for this team and also think she will be an energy giver when things get hard too

@LVMM198 @wbbmayer Well, if there is 1 thing we know, it's 'a business' so wouldn't be surprised if they drag on this. Still early, but I do like her fit/role on the court with this team. As the Sparks start to spiral into panic, I do worry about the environment.

@LVMM198 @wbbmayer I think she has another week before other teams can make offers. I wonder if Sparks will drag their feet until they have to make move, either from depleting her 12 games or another team offering a spot. I think Sparks can counter (with roster spot). I'm guessing she has no say?
