From the new academic year 2026-27, degree students in #Telangana will receive a ₹7,000 monthly #stipend while pursuing industry-linked education — a game-changing initiative by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to make youth job-ready, future-ready and globally competitive.
Telangana is redefining higher education with skill-based learning, real industry exposure and guaranteed employability opportunities.
Under the Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (#AEDP), government degree colleges will introduce 11 new-age courses this year, taking the total to 24 courses across 96 colleges. The programme aims to enrol 8,000 students this year — a massive jump from last year’s 1,770 admissions, showing the growing trust among students and parents.
The new courses are designed around the industries of the future:
🔹 E-Mobility & Battery Technology
🔹 Embedded Systems & IoT
🔹 Food Processing & Technology
🔹 Animation & VFX
🔹 Film & TV Production
🔹 Business Analytics
…and many more emerging sectors.
This is not just classroom education. Out of 132 credits, 70 credits are dedicated to practical industry skills and hands-on training. Students will spend their final two semesters working directly in industries as apprentices while earning ₹7,000 every month.
The courses have been developed in collaboration with premier institutions and industry experts including IIT Hyderabad #IITH, #ISB, University of Hyderabad #UoH and #EFLU.
This is Revanth Reddy government’s vision:
Not degrees without #jobs…
But degrees with #skills, experience, income and #employment opportunities.
