People who go to @Costco and use the self check out with an overflowing basket seem very inconsiderate.

@Billk92672 @mcuban And who pays to make Medicare "cheaper"? Everybody else? Tax dollars went to make electric cars "affordable" with the 7500 per car tax credit, that expired 9/30. Electric car adoption and production/sales rates have dropped dramatically since then.

This is dumb. Really dumb. Really Really Dumb. Why? Because when you give it to Ins Carriers under the ACA, they have to spend at least 85pct of it on care for plan holders. When sent to people's HSAs, there is no assurance that the money will be spent on healthcare costs at all. A recipient can save the money and take it out when they turn 65. MORE LIKELY , people will get that HSA cash, immediately take it out, pay the 20 pct penalty and buy whatever they want So your tax dollars could be throwing parties ! Does this mean I like the subsidies going to the big insurance carriers ? No. It means there are better ways to do this. Whatever we do, taxpayer money HAS TO GO DIRECTLY TOWARDS PAYING or Guaranteeing NECESSARY MEDICAL CARE. Sending money to people's HSAs is really dumb

Scoop: Ways & Means Rs are circulating a bill that would reflect Trump’s ideas to lower health care costs - redirecting insurance subsidies directly to peoples’ HSAs. Committee staff are currently prepping a presentation on health policy options. politico.com/news/2025/11/1…

@anime_omo15 @mcuban That is exactly my point. The optional procedures that are not covered by insurance have gotten stupid cheap compared to when they first came out. Why does a Band-Aid cost 800% of retail when you go to a hospital? Insurance.

@LV_User23 @mcuban Also, LASIK is very much an optional procedure. Hell, vision and dental insurance themselves aren't really all THAT needed. Yes, they help and enhance the quality of life, but it's somewhat negligible compared to the need for general health insurance. The latter is vital!

@JohnstonCY @mcuban And the "lower" cost for Medicare leads to increased costs for everybody else to subsidize it. That's how subsidies work.

Remember when you said there wouldn't be any elections again. I sure see people voting today.

@Hamidar994977 Why? It's not like we're gonna get to vote again. Bookmark this Tweet. The American experiment is over.

As someone who DOESN'T live in a swing state, I'm gonna say this with my full chest: I'm tired of 7 fucking states deciding the fate of 50 states.

@RobertMSterling You can at least manipulate the auto start function by changing the pressure on the brake pedal. Anytime the brake pedal pressure changes it disables the auto start stop.

If Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, can arbitrarily fire hundreds of thousands of federal employees without cause, think of what he’ll do to workers in the private sector. Today, it’s federal workers. Tomorrow, it’s *your* job. That’s what oligarchy is about.

Was driving with a 2 of the kids in the back. A short while into the drive, a request came from my 8 year old, "Daddy, will you put on the Waitress Song?" Good taste, what say you, @sethsentry
