In January 2024, on a bitterly cold night in Auburn, Massachusetts, a 12-year-old child departed from home without a cellphone or their mother's consent. Upon being alerted, the local police initiated a search. Despite their diligent efforts, the initial search produced no leads. Acknowledging the urgency of the situation, K9 officer David Ljunggren and his canine partner Biza were summoned to aid in the search. Biza swiftly picked up the child's scent and diligently tracked it for over two miles. Her acute sense of smell guided the officers to a location where they discovered evidence indicating that the missing youth had recently passed through. With additional officers converging on the area, the child was located shortly thereafter. Thankfully, the child was found safe and quickly reunited with their family. Deputy Chief Richard Mills praised Biza, stating, "Biza is a good dog"

Today is my birthday, but I haven’t received any birthday wishes yet, so I feel quite lonely.

Today, my daddy had to let me go. I had such a wonderful time at my party on Sunday, but it was time to go. I had a fever that night after coming home, and dad kept a close eye on me. I had lots of water and rest, but by Monday night I was losing control of my bladder. Tuesday morning dad and I went to the hospital to see if it was something that could easily be fixed with antibiotics. The doctor checked my blood levels and found out that my red blood cells and planets had plummeted again. RBC was at 28% two weeks ago, increasing, but was 12% today. Platelets were 29k two weeks ago but were only 7k today. Ironically, my white blood cell count was increasing. But the doctors normally would tell my dad that I was not in pain and they had lots of options - today, they told him I was in pain. That's when dad made the decision. The only way to save me was with tons of money for a very short term solution. We did that once, and it only lasted two weeks. So today, my dad made the most painful decision of his life. It's ok. Don't worry. I feel better now. There's no more pain, and dad will be ok. After I went to sleep, he removed my collar and he's wearing it on his wrist like a wristband. He is hurting, but he promised me he will rescue another beagle to honor me. I want to thank you all, so very very much, from the bottom of my heart. You've been a wonderful family to me, and my dad will never forget you. He's going to continue posting pictures and memories of our time together. Without you guys, I wouldn't have made it this far. The doctors gave me 50 days after diagnosis. Your love and generous donations gave me 11 months. I love you all. Thank you.

"So I’m driving down the road this morning and the cars in front of me are driving over a black thing in the road. It’s going between their tires so I’m guessing it’s a box. It’s a kitten just sitting upright shaking like a leaf. And some asshole had spread glue on its paws and stuck it to the road. I thought maybe it walked through glue somewhere but after looking at it, that was totally spread into her paws. She was wet and freezing and literally glued to the road. And NO ONE STOPPED. 😳 What the f$&k people??? I slammed on my brakes and stopped all the traffic and put my hazards on and got out and pealed her off the road. People were honking and all pissy....really??? It’s a kitten glued to the road!! So after a goo gone bath and some food and cream we have a new kitten. Luckiest kitten in the world!"
