@ThemeParkWW The interesting question is: whether the choice of opening date is a push by BPB to get in whilst Valgard opening at Paultons down south is still fresh in people's minds. Could the digital ad truck (like what happened for Hyperia opening) be on it's way to Paultons 16/5-17/5?

@ThemeParkWW The bigger issue will be once significant year-round investments open elsewhere within driving distance of AT in the next couple of years (i.e. not just Universal, but Therme Manchester, even Puy De Fou's proposal for Bicester). All have impacts on parts of the AT package.

Closed rides and reduced capacity on open rides, are just some of the many problems this park has at the moment. I fail to see how things can carry on like this. Drastic improvements and investment into this park are needed more than ever.

As a life long Alton Towers fan, I’ve never felt so disappointed in the park. It really is disheartening to see the place you love, fall so far behind. Everything from the ride availability to the staggered openings is affecting the guest experience massively.

@ThemeParkWW Is the rumor true: no more purple corkscrew at Alton Towers front gate: now back in its’s yellow colour scheme from when the ride existed? I wonder if a set of original trains are also headed back (ex-Heide Park)?

@ThemeParkWW Very interesting gamble by Drayton Manor. As for main season shifting: you could get away with weekend openings from Feb half-term onward: you'd just need to tighten up late winter maintenance schedules at some parks, so weekend ride availability is unaffected.

In 2026 LEGOLAND Windsor will be celebrating their 30th Birthday 🥳 The park have just unveiled this very impressive 13ft tall cake built from 200,000 LEGO bricks!

@ThemeParkWW Ride will have to be retained: it's Grade II* listed after all. Great to hear Dreamland asking for ideas for it's reuse. I think a permanent track walk of the Scenic Railway track can become just as much a attraction for Margate as it was when it was a active rollercoaster.

Dreamland Margate has just confirmed that the Scenic Railway will no longer operate and has been retired. This classic coaster opened in 1920 and was fully refurbished in 2015 after spending many years closed.

Bluey The Ride: Here Come The Grannies is the name of the new roller coaster opening in CBeebies Land at Alton Towers in 2026 🎢 The ride will also feature Bluey’s House and an interactive queue line. It looks as though we’ll be seeing lots of theming around the ride area!

The Mellors Group have now officially confirmed that they have acquired Lightwater Valley Theme Park 🤩 Today they have stated that NEW rides will be coming to the park, with plans to broaden the appeal of Lightwater Valley and put it back on the map. Fantastic news! 👏
