Not because I don't want to pay my debt, but because student loan payments shouldn't cause people to live in hardship. At least give me a path for paying them off before I retire, and offer those who need to borrow for education fair terms and practices.

I can't recommend this enough. The way that a historian reads, writes and thinks is different to how a mathematician operates. Each subject context has different needs and requirements. It's useful to point this out and have students (and sometimes teachers!) reflect on this.
