Today we joined our buddies in Mrs. Saltzer’s class to teach them all about using the Ozobots. We investigated, explored, and coded using these little robots. Thanks for having us @MrsSaltzer@OwenJRobertsFC
Thanks to Mr. Brewer and Mr. Smith in the S.T.E.A.M room for having us over to learn about Binary Code this afternoon. @OJRsteam@OwenJRobertsFC@Ojrscience
Today we put the scientific method to the test by simulating the speed of 4 different seed helicopters. The students created a quality, if/then/because hypothesis, discussed different types of variables for the experiment, and collected data. @Ojrscience@OwenJRobertsFC
Today the students used their plans to build their golf ball catching contraptions. We had so much fun throughout the entire STEAM process. We learned a lot along the way for future builds! @OwenJRobertsFC@Ojrscience
Today we continued to explore microscopes by looking at various specimens and sketching what we observe at 40x, 100x, and 400x magnification. @Ojrscience@OwenJRobertsFC

Today the students used their plans to build their egg drop contraptions. So much fun was had throughout the entire STEM process. In the end we had 5 that lasted all the way through 6 rounds of testing! @Ojrscience@OwenJRobertsFC#whatmakesfcspecial
We’ve adjusted and continue our hands-on science lessons with our virtual partners. Adapting and keeping everyone involved the best that we can while exploring solutions. @OwenJRobertsFC@Ojrscience#whatmakesfcspecial
In a typical year we celebrate the completion of our Figurative Language Menus with an in class feast. That wasn’t possible this year. So, yesterday we had a virtual lunch feast which allowed us to keep this tradition alive. The students had a blast sharing! @OwenJRobertsFC
