Baldés drop in performance this season might be because of lack of competition. Last season he had Alba to compete with. Anyone competing with Alonso doesn't have any real competiton for his spot.

With that being said, any big saudi offer for him would be stupid to turn down.

Never been a player that can play between the lines. Maybe he's washed, maybe he's not but he's not used in a correct way. If Barça want to use their 9 deeper in build-ups, why did Xavi sign him? Not the right profile at all.

@LaComputadora14 Again this has got nothing to do with medical staff sadly.....sure they are to blame upto an extent but the main reason is he is injury prone due to that overloading series of games under Koeman. That will take time IMO

Xavi after the Celta game said they were going to analyze what we did wrong because we played poorly. Tonight we face a similar defensive system to Celta and we are once again clueless on the ball.... There have been so many individual mistakes because we don't attack as a team.

I think Ferran just Isn't a player that will ever succeed playing out wide. Today's wingers needs excellent dribbling and speed to play there and he just doesn't have that. There is a reason to why Pep played him centrally and not on the wing. And as we all know, Pep knows best.

What a comeback!! Wow! The determination and hunger can't be questioned under Xavi. The team do fight until the end and always believe in a win no matter how shit we play. However the tactical approach sometimes, especially against low blacks... We still struggle too much under Xavi and It's season number 3 for him. Loads to improve still.

@MartinsFCB I think It's wrong to single out him. Not any worse than the other midfielders. Barça just tactically outclassed so far.

I think it's an understatement how poor Oriol Romeu has been today. Just abysmal.

Now It's very easy for Celta because we don't attack them out wide and we don't find any spaces in the middle. Just sideway passing, ball losses and Celta destroying us on the counter attack.

For Barça to hurt Celta's narrow 5-3-2 we should've started with Yamal who is a good 1v1 player unlike Ferran. Also to start Balde ahead of Alonso and instruct Balde and Cancelo to play out wide so that we stretch Celta and spaces can open up in the middle.

Rafa Benitez has got the better out of Xavi tactically. It's as simple as that. There is no spaces in the middle and we are playing Cancelo inverted on one side and Alonso who can only pass the ball backwards on the other.
