"I took my baby girl for her 6-month immunization yesterday. While we were waiting, a woman looked at my baby and said, “Is this baby really 6 months old? she looks too small.” She asked how much she weighs, and I told her 7kg. She immediately said, “Ah! That’s too small. My own baby is 10kg. You need to feed her more so she can add weight.” I just smiled, but deep down, her words really hurt me. On our way home, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I kept looking at my baby and asking myself if I was doing something wrong. Am I not feeding her enough? Is she really too small for her age? My baby breastfeeds very well. She also takes pap, drinks water, and I’m getting ready to start giving her pureed foods. She’s active, always smiling, plays a lot, and she can already sit without support. So now I’m wondering… Is 7 kg really too small for a 6-month-old baby? I’ve always believed that not every healthy baby has to be fat. Some babies are naturally chubby, while some are naturally slim. As long as a baby is healthy, eating well, growing, and reaching milestones, I feel that’s what really matters. Still, that woman’s comment has been on my mind all day. Mothers, I really want to hear from you. Is a 7kg baby at 6 months considered underweight? Do healthy babies have to be chubby, or is every baby simply different?"

I went to church today and forgot my head tie at home. The usher walked me out of the church and told me to either find a head tie or go home. My house was too far from the church, so I walked down the road looking for a shop where I could buy a big handkerchief. Fortunately, I found one. I tied it on my head, but the usher still didn't allow me into the church. He said it didn't cover my head properly. We kept going back and forth until two of our pastor's daughters walked into the church without head ties. The usher greeted them warmly and let them in without saying a word about their head ties. As soon as he allowed them in, I removed my handkerchief, put it in my handbag, and went straight home.
