Students enrolled in the Aroostook Career Exploration program recently visited the University of Maine at Presque Isle to learn more about the MLT Program. Faculty and current students provided a tour of the student lab and showcased testing in bb, chem, heme, micro, & ua.

This past week was Patient Recognition Week. As medical laboratory professionals, we honor our patients. Patient centered care is integral to laboratory practice. Laboratory professionals play a pivotal role in patient care even though patient's don't see or interact with us.
Second year students got to choose from a few creative assignments to complete. One of those assignments is to “design a postcard (4x6) about any topic discussed in the course”. Here are some of the creations received
Nursing and MLT students at the Presque Isle campus met today for an interprofessional training session. The students were able to work through an emergent release/trauma scenario, learn their roles in this situation, as well as the roles that their colleagues play.
