I was so sad to read that @BahamaBreeze is apparently closing. Their black bean stuffed plantain bowl is possibly my favorite entree at any restaurant, and I've never seen anything like it anywhere else. And their painkiller is the tastiest version of the drink that I've tried.

I’m the son of a Cuban immigrant — I hate communists. But when I was at Harvard Law School, I went out of my way to take classes from the communists because you can’t fight something you don’t understand.

It's mostly just inertia that has kept me there. I don't begin to know what is involved in keeping a domain but changing hosts. But I know it's possible.

I really need to get rid of BlueHost. There's no support beyond an AI chatbot, they charge exorbitant prices, and their email constantly stops working for days at a time. It's bonkers how much I pay to get so little.

Always a shame when a formerly good product decides to enshittify. Ive been using their product for close to twenty years.

Can somebody recommend a replacement for FoxIt now that @foxitsoftware has lost their mind? Updates that put additional hurdles in my path are not improvements. I shouldn't need an account to save a file I have commented on or signed.

@Starbucks 1) Does this policy apply if the first drink is a more expensive drink, and I want to follow it up with iced coffee? 2) Do your baristas know this policy? On two separate occasions I've tried to get a refill and had baristas tell me they know nothing about refills.

You know what's fun? I have free checking with direct deposit, but @BankofAmerica nails me with fees over the summer, because I'm a teacher and don't get paid during the month of July, and thus no deposits come in. Thanks, guys!

@Yankees Just on the off chance that anybody's tracking reactions to this, I'm not a fan of the website redesign. It is now harder to find recent results and standings, which are basically what I'm looking for when I go to a team's website.
