What an odd thing to say

A child needs both parents for balance in training and nurture. That's the best way to live. I remember one day growing up when my mum asked me to pick beans. I told her I was busy(I was 15 years old, studying for GCE or something). She insisted, and so I obliged, but I was mumbling some words like "Oh God, what sort of thing is this? I need to prepare for this exam." My dad just said, "Wunmi, if you don't want to do what your mother wants, put down the beans, I'll pick it when I'm done with what I'm doing." In my mind, I was like 👍 👌 "what an understanding father. That's why I love you more than mum. 😄" I gently placed the beans down, and he waited for me because beans was more expensive than rice that particular year. 😆 🤣 😂. As I lifted up my face like this, "WIAM!!!" A "dirty" slap. Everywhere first blur...... The next thing I heard was, "You can do anything, but never disrespect or dishonour my wife." After that day, I realised that my dad would draw the line whenever it came to his wife and when it comes to discipline and training, leave it to dads. My husband only needs to give the kids "The eye", they'll arrange themselves 😄 🤣

Some neighbours are actually a blessing. She noticed her neighbour’s 9 month old kid has been vomiting and stooling for 3 days now. Due to financial constraints, they couldn't come to the hospital. She took the mother and child to the hospital, told the doctor that she would pay their hospital bill for them The child is a lot better now and has been discharged home. May God put such nice and kind people our way
