Hey @CineplexMovies I ☎️ your theatre in Kirkland QC today and asked about captioning for a friend. The 💬 was painful (they just read info from your frustrating site), but they also said they only have 4 units... What happens if my 5 deaf friends want to go? #accessibility

@Crippit Im still in this…. Our goal is to move students forward and yet we are amongst a few people who are legit pulling the child back by their shirt on the conveyor belt called life…

@Crippit @jarmstrong03 @itechteach Fixed mindset vs. Growth mindset maybe? I strive each day to make sure my students are successful and I take a ´by any means necessary’ approach… It’s not about me it’s about student success…

We want our students to do their best, and we want to always improve as teachers? So why are teachers resistant to changing their practices to accommodate students on an IEP? To reevaluating how they teach? #IEP #SEN @LadyLSLdown @jarmstrong03 @itechteach

@LadyLSLdown @CharleboisJoel Well clearly yes, if you put a camera there it would record a sound, and we know this is true from a science perspective, but you don't hear it. Which is interesting, I wonder how much sound our brains can process at one time, if we could hear everything all around...

My friend told me today that she spent her day without her hearing aids because her ears hurt. This led to a conversation about free choice. So would you feel comfortable not wearing your hearing aids for the day? Discuss #Deaf #hearingaids #hearingloss #deafchat #freechoice

@CharleboisJoel @Crippit My reasoning for saying that is can someone truly miss a sense of they’ve never experienced it? Perhaps yes, but perhaps you can’t know what you haven’t experienced. Their life is likely fulfilling in so many other ways… consider the butterfly effect!

@CharleboisJoel @Crippit I’d like to opine here with a popular question…. If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around, does it make a sound? 🤔

@Crippit It is also how we build language! Let’s not limit our kids to small things!

When I saw this image, I actually laughed out loud, this is so true, we often simplify things for kids when they can totally cope with the proper term.

@LadyLSLdown @EduCoder @mimg1225 Are luck and fate the same thing? Does one exist without the other? Or do neither exist? Are you in control of the people you meet and the directions in which they take you?

@LadyLSLdown Sometimes fate plays a part though... @EduCoder and I met by luck... That's where our current edu adventures started with @mimg1225 (everyone wants to be Monica).

@DesireeWhite42 @eyeonaxs Probably not the answer you weee expecting, but here goes: Be kind and Seek first to understand… I think it’s a fundamental component of accessibility!

What is the one accessibility thing you think everyone should know how to do? #a11y For me, it's alt text. It's low effort to learn, low effort to fix, high impact for people who use it!
