A new poll dropped and WOW are Americans anti-AGI, anti-open source AI and anti-e/acc: 3 to 1 want to prioritize AI safety over AI innovation 5 to 1 want to stop the AGI race (ban development of ASI) (This is obvious to anybody who talks to normal people:) 5 to 1 are opposed to e/acc 4 to 1 think companies should be liable if someone uses their model to make a virus (Americans are very in favor of holding model developers liable - not good for open source) 7 to 1 think autonomous drones should not be able allowed to kill humans (this is already happening in Ukraine - robots make the kill decisions) 8 to 1 want to require companies to extensively safety test their models before release (could be the death of open source, since safety guardrails can be quickly removed) And with bipartisan support across the board.

@niftynoon What is the solution to all this? We all know that team has gaps and keep on learning as they say. Like it’s been said, if it was a web 2 company, penalties would be harsh for such behaviour. Do we think this also applies to Proof team who think this was just a ‘sense of humour’?

Glad I’ve sold @proof_xyz Community culture starts at the top and is sustained by the behavior of the majority.

@niftynoon This happened for a LOOONG time, without proper moderation. @SomiArian needed to exit to take care of herself. There are other communities with a better culture.
