Not many people know this, but one of my younger brothers passed away from a leukemia relapse this year in March. My brother was 32 years old and had battled Leukemia since he was 19. Through his whole journey, not once did he let cancer define his life or who he was. He was an accomplished biologist and worked at Stanford University for years in stem cell research. I keep asking myself why. Why him. Someone so smart, dedicated and HILARIOUS (ofc because he got his humor from his big sis. Me). Something I realized is all he did in his field. At the age of 32x he was published three times for his research. Before he passed, he said that if the cancer trial he was on didn’t help him, maybe it could help the sick kids overcome their battles with his part in the trial and the research he had done. So, in his memory and to keep his legacy alive, I am linking his three publishments that he di while sick, on chemo and thriving and hope that if you take anything from this it’s that if he can, YOU can too. I love you, Nestor. Forever proud of you. ❤️🥺💕
