Muslims in the West are deeply offended and outraged whenever anyone uses harsh language to denounce the atrocities their fellow Muslims commit against Christians in Nigeria and across Asia and Africa. They position themselves as the world’s most victimized, marginalized and threatened minority. As a loud and highly organized political force they dominate the debate and control the narrative around their sacred victim status. But when the brutal reality on the ground in Nigeria is exposed, churches burned with worshippers inside, pregnant women hacked open, Christians beheaded simply for being non-Muslims, they feel violated. They cannot maintain the image of the peaceful minority while at the same time sympathizing with the jihadists who are simply “worshipping Allah” and carrying out the jihad that Islam obligates every Muslim to support. “Islamophobia” is the weapon they use to shut down any honest discussion about Islam as a set of immoral practices that subjects non-Muslims to inhuman persecution, oppression, ethnic cleansing and outright genocide. As seen in viral videos by Muslim influencers, they gaslight the public about the crimes against humanity Christians in Nigeria and elsewhere face. Admitting the truth would destroy their collective identity as victims in the West, especially when so many Muslims quietly (or openly) support the same religious doctrine that legitimizes the rape, murder and slavery of anyone who refuses to submit to Islam. This is the ultimate gaslight: play the victim in London, New York and Toronto while cheering the jihadists who are slaughtering Christians in Nigeria. The West must stop falling for it.
