Akka is the most widely used open sourced framework pioneered by lightbend, it was instrumental to the adoption of scala in Africa. Unfortunately, the new license will drop the growing demand and likely push for other alternatives.

One thing I like about #Scala is how much you can do with very little. FastParse is the de-facto parsing library for Scala. Mature, convenient to use, fast to execute, good error reporting, 900 commits over 6 years. It's 3200 lines of code spread over 10 files. That's tiny!
