Thank you, your recap is on point. I'm going to vote of course, but I'm a bit pessimistic about the outcome to be honest. Here too, the radical left has taken hold. It has infiltrated our institutions, our academia and our governance. Some town halls are flying the so-called Palestinian flag (without prior consultation with the population – direct democracy only goes so far), when it's not the alphabet soup one. The housing crisis is spiralling out of control (I even resent expats now, haha). The future is bleak.

Since 2000 there has been a surge from 7 million to over 9 million people. Foreign nationals now account for over 27% of the population. They are inflating housing rents and overburdening schools, healthcare, public transport and electricity supplies. Most Swiss I know support it as they want immigration restricted. Others argue that without immigrants there will be a labour shortage. Many want the Free movement agreement with the EU to end. It’s not about capping local birthdate, rather it’s a reaction to immigration.

The panel restored Secretary of State Marco Rubio's ability to “implement and enforce” the sanctions against you while the appeal proceeds. That reverses the district judge’s ruling in practical terms, at least temporarily. A three-judge federal appellate panel intervened quickly against you and in favor of the government in a foreign-policy case. U.S. courts are often deferential to the executive branch on sanctions, national security, and foreign affairs. The fact that Judges Henderson, Katsas, and Childs granted emergency relief to Secretary Rubio suggests the government’s arguments are being taken seriously at the appellate level. It signals skepticism toward the district court’s injunction. The judges explicitly said the administrative stay was not a merits ruling. But appellate courts do not lightly restore sanctions in a high-profile constitutional case unless they believe the government has at least a plausible and substantial basis for reversal. Procedurally, this shifts momentum toward Secretary Rubio.

The world is about to get a master class in antisemitism. Israel's minister Ben Gvir's behavior towards the flotilla activists was unacceptable. I said so myself. World leaders all posted angry denunciations of the Israeli government and summoned Israeli ambassadors for a dressing down. Here, the same activists are receiving much more brutal treatment at the hands of the Spanish government. What we won't see however is an international outcry against the Spanish government. This imbalance isn't due to the vagaries of international diplomacy. People hold the Jewish state to a higher standard than they do any other state, and fundamentally it's due of bigotry and hatred. @AnitaAnandMP

Notably, they only installed surveillance cameras after they were targeted with thefts. The LInders are not the only victims. For example, in March 2026, police in Bern arrested 3 suspects who robbed 42 self-service farm shops, amounting to over 125,000 euros in losses. In that case, the nationality of the suspects was not released. These 3 thieves targeted farm shops across the country, including Bern, Fribourg, Vaud, Neuchâtel, Solothurn, Basel-Landschaft, Aargau and Lucerne. Once robbed, farmers don't only lose money, they lose trust. This trust is being lost across the West.
