@ShaziGoalie It’s crazy what some builders still want for their detached builds. One has 15 fully built but sitting cause he don’t have loan to pay on them. In pandemic he sold it for 1.6-1.7ish. He believes once tarrifs r done cost of a construction will force to demand 1.9 a pop.

Freeholds are bleeding faster than condos. Detached, semis, and towns are all down over 6% year-over-year. Condos? Just dipping. Weren’t freeholds supposed to be gold?

@ShaziGoalie My wife and I were just able to afford an 800k mortgage. We both make over 150k a year. I always wonder how people with average incomes afford anything. Our mortgage is 5k a month.

@ShaziGoalie I bought for $1.7M but had about a $1.1M mortgage. Although we make $500k+ (pre-tax and in corps) still sucks lol. I have room for property values to drop quite significantly as most of it was paper gains from precious homes rolled over but I’m ready to cash out.

Go on Realtor.ca and search for commercial properties for sale. I counted over 680 just in Mississauga alone, most of them restaurants. The residential bloodbath is just the tip of the iceberg...
