When I first began speaking out about the deep cracks within the system and raising concerns that the military was being compromised, many were quick to dismiss me. I was labeled a coward, a deserter, a runaway ,different names thrown around in an attempt to discredit and silence my voice. But truth does not lose its value simply because it is inconvenient. From the onset, my position has never been to undermine the military as an institution. Rather, it has always been rooted in genuine concern for the wellbeing of the men and women who serve. Those on the frontlines, risking their lives daily, deserve more than neglect they deserve proper equipment, adequate welfare, transparent leadership, and a structure that prioritizes their safety and dignity. Speaking up for these fundamental needs is not an act of betrayal; it is an act of responsibility. However, beyond the personal attacks, there is a more pressing question that many have deliberately avoided: did any of you take the time to critically examine and challenge the false narratives being promoted about my people, the Igbo? Or was it more convenient to ignore those distortions and instead focus your energy on condemning me for speaking out against evident wrongdoing? While I consistently called for accountability, fairness, and truth, many chose the easier path attacking the messenger rather than addressing the message. Yet, silence in the face of misinformation and injustice only deepens division and prolongs systemic failure. Over time, as more realities continue to unfold and more voices begin to echo the very concerns I raised, it becomes increasingly clear that my position was never baseless. This is not about personal vindication; it is about confronting uncomfortable truths and demanding necessary change. Progress requires courage ,the courage to question, to hold power accountable, and to reject misleading narratives regardless of who they target.
