@thenitinsawhney This was an interesting talk on AI
bbc.co.uk/programmes/m00…
English

I was talking to an old friend yesterday about the ongoing AI revolution. We agreed it is probably a matter of a few years before AI can replace humans in pretty much all jobs - Even, worryingly, many creative ones. We have already seen protests and strikes from actors and musicians at how AI has begun to affect livelihoods and futures.
Evolution is survival of the fittest… If we are to survive this imminent onslaught of an AI revolution, we need to question and consider our value as humans. Why do we value ourselves and each other? What is the worth of our humanity?
What qualities make us better than technology that will soon be able to outperform us in many ways? How do we face our possible obsolescence?
We are fast approaching a possible scenario where AI entities may be evaluating our use to them rather than the other way around.
“The Matrix” and “The Terminator” were chilling modern parables.
We have incredible brains… and beautiful, exquisite hearts. We have the ability to be compassionate, to show understanding, to tell our stories and demonstrate empathy for others. Our journeys are amazing personal histories of struggle, growth and triumph. We are inherently valuable because we can love and be loved.
So why are those who purport to lead us, so keen to erase our humanity?
Our stories will only continue to matter if we value them. Anyone who tries to tell you that some people are worthless and deserve to die, has already lost everything that makes us more precious than any robot.
Society’s slow moving archaic rules and laws cannot even keep pace with the transformation of increasingly vicious and hostile social media platforms. These platforms are now king-makers and they, like all our information, are controlled by oligarchs, banks and narcissistic politicians.
We are at a crossroads…
If we’re lucky, we live for 80 to 100 years or perhaps a little more.
The question is… When you look back on your life one day… what will make you feel proud of who and what you were, on the choices you made and on the impact you had on the world?

@EmilyJPVaughan1 @anthonyshock Fermentation is the key. You need to allow your batter to ferment in a nice warm place for 8 to 10 hours
English

@EmilyJPVaughan1 @anthonyshock Emily, if there is a kerala/South Indian groceries near you, they normally sell fresh dosa batter in the fridge section.
We/Lalita’s are festival caterers and we sell dosa’s at music festivals. We make our batter from urid flour, rice flour, ground rice methi powder

Just returned from the Kashmir Superstore in South Leeds which sells everything Indian & Pakistani. I started my chef career here; the first restaurant kitchen I cooked and trained in was Punjabi. Let me show you around and tell you what you need for anything SOUTH ASIAN - you’re going to need a trolley for this one! 🇮🇳 🇵🇰

I am so proud to have a new album out called “identity”. When so many people are constantly being judged, abused or literally attacked for simply being who they are, I really wanted to make an album that platformed brilliant artists who want to celebrate their own identity and that of others. Here I’m performing an acoustic version of the third track on the album, “Definition of Happy” with supremely gifted singer @iamrozemusic 🙏🏾💫

@BZephaniah Benjamin reached out to people in so many ways. I had the pleasure and f meeting Benjamin and feeding him at the one love festival. It was because of Benjamin’s beautiful explanation of what one love really means that we have one love printed on our T-shirts 🫶🫶
