From today's WM. If the Y11 bid to buy @Cardiff_Rugby falls through, then that'll mean @WelshRugbyUnion owning Cardiff, and putting money in - while telling Ospreys there is no money for them, they have to fold. All through this process there has been a Cardiff bias. First, the bullshit about "One in the east, one in the capital and one in the west", when everybody west of Bridgend can clearly see two in the east. Then the composition the WRU board - heavily Cardiff. Come to that, and apart from political reasons, why does there HAVE to be a club in Cardiff? It's bankrupt. And someone else is being sacrificed to keep it afloat. And if the YII deal to buy Cardiff falls through, then are we expected to believe that Y11 can just go back to Ospreys players and fans as if nothing has happened? Or that Scarlets will discuss a merger with Ospreys owned by Y11? WRU has screwed up royally, from the start of this process. First, because the figureheads are political appointments who know sod all about Welsh rugby. Second, the imperative from the outset was not doing what was best for Welsh rugby, but serving Cardiff.
