Happy Easter from Lamlash House 🐣💛 It may be a wet and windy one out there today, but that just makes it the perfect excuse to slow down, get cosy, and enjoy the simple things — good food and great company. We’re really looking forward to hosting our Easter Afternoon Tea.

Happy Valentine’s Day from Lamlash House. Days like today are a gentle reminder of the importance of spending time with the people who matter — whether that’s over a cup of tea, a shared meal, or simply enjoying good company.

The service was a truly uplifting celebration of compassion, connection, togetherness and festive spirit, leaving us feeling grateful and inspired this Christmas season.

Last night, we were honoured to be invited by the Lord-Lieutenant of Ayrshire and Arran, Sheriff Iona McDonald, to attend the Together at Christmas Royal Foundation Carol Service at Paisley Abbey.

Today we marked another incredible 90th with a private afternoon tea — the perfect way to celebrate such a remarkable milestone in true Lamlash House style.

Another wonderful 90th milestone celebration at Lamlash House! 🎂 As we head toward the end of the year, we’re reflecting on what’s been a record year for milestone birthdays — and it’s been our absolute pleasure to host so many special gatherings.

September was extra special — together, our guests celebrated an incredible 378 years of birthdays under our roof! A huge happy birthday to everyone who chose to mark their special day with us. Here’s to many more memories, laughter, and candles blown out at Lamlash House.

We were delighted to host a private anniversary/birthday this past weekend, and were deeply touched to receive this thoughtful card of thanks from our guests.

We’ve been a little quieter of late, but only because the house is getting some much-needed restoration after January’s storm. We’re still hosting private events (just fewer) while we focus on repairs. Thanks for your patience & support — we can’t wait to welcome you back soon!

It’s amazing to think this little piece of history was hidden away for seven decades, and now connects us to the lives of those who lived or worked here so long ago.

The page features adverts offering corduroy trousers for just 35/11 and a stylish pure wool dress from a shop on Oxford Street, London. Stay tuned as we uncover more secrets during this new chapter of restoration of the historic property!

A glimpse into the past at Lamlash House! During our current restoration works we made a discovery behind one of the walls — a page from an old 1954 newspaper, not quite perfectly preserved!

When roof repairs turn out to be much more. But yes, we've discovered an additional 1890 fire opening! Watch this space as we continue to restore the building from the January storm damage.

A pleasant day at Lamlash House as we opened our doors to a private tour from Bonn in Germany, having disembarked Cunard Queen Anne in Greenock earlier this morning.  Lunch & historical tour. Really grateful to have received chocolate which is always welcome. Wunderbar!
