Modern English ancestry has been here since the Mesolithic. Or are Māori in NZ just “Victorian Europeans” now?

Scandinavians' impact was very minor. Englishmen on average are roughly half 5th century Germanic and half celtic Briton, with variation between east/west ofc.

Sure, in Kent you might be more Saxon/Jutish and in East Anglia you might be more Angle, but across England ethnogenesis merged them to form the English ethnic group. As early as Bede we were regarded as one folk, the Angelcynn.

@HC_AlwaysRight Rupert is good company and charming. HOWEVER he is turning a blind eye to the not-so-charming racists idolising him. He clearly wants to destroy Nigel and maybe it will help the Tories but I fear it will help Labour more. It’s not a good look. He should call them out.

The issue Britain and the West have is that islamists are using our freedoms to seize power ultimately wishing to subjugate us. That is the only issue here. Islam needs a reformation.

Intermixing of Italy and Ireland faces far less friction because they're both Western. This has very little to do with race (as in racism), and far more to do with historical maths.

They only form a portion of the basis of the English ethnos besides Saxons, Jutes and celtic Britons. I've never seen someone use this "gotcha" with even basic comprehension of the origin of the English

@andrewlawrence Agree with you fully. But on the other hand - that’s precisely what Reform did to the Tories last time around. They gave Labour a stonking majority by splitting the vote. Having said that Sunak was useless. Maybe under Truss or Badenoch things could have been different.
