There’s a lot of misunderstanding about blue checks. I got a blue check when there was no monitor. You know why I did it because I make mistakes and I like to be able to edit my posts and write longer. It also allows me to use GROK. Not everybody with a blue check is making the big dollars I don’t make enough to pay my electric bill. Some of my friends don’t get paid at all because they don’t get seen enough. A lot of misunderstanding and misplaced hatred. Save that for the people with millions of followers who are grifter instead of people like us like me who have been here 13 years and seeing too many changes on this platform

I appreciate every follower I have. Truly. I’ve been on this platform for 13 years and seen every change you can imagine. I always thought X was a digital town square. A place to talk to people, not a place where everybody has to become their own video production studio to matter. I understand not monetizing recycled videos. Fair enough. But if I wanted to spend all day watching videos, I’d be on TikTok or YouTube. I’m not changing who I am for an algorithm. I’m not going to sit and stare into a phone camera giving my opinion like it’s a daily audition. I’ll keep posting the way I always have, and I’m thankful for the people who still value actual conversation. Does anybody else miss when social media was social?
