The federal government gave billions in subsidies to foreign companies for battery plants.
Republican local governments gave them billions in tax incentives.
The justification was “it creates American jobs”, and it was all bullshit.

Lokale Firmen sind meist totaler Krebs, da geht es nicht darum irgendwelche Kosten zu sparen, sondern um die Qualität zu gewährleisten. Ansonsten wären wahrscheinlich eh irgendwelche Puerto Ricaner eingestellt worden, die vollkommen legal arbeiten.
