Why does MPO-AAV mostly occur in older people? Work from the lab's @malihaalikhan in @RELENT_EU with @VasculitisUMCG on ageing in #vasculitis now in @RheumJnl pre-proof. Aged mice show⬆️loss of tolerance/T cell anti-MPO autommunity but⬇️anti-OVA responses.

New research from the Monash #Vasculitis Clinic by Dr Vanessa Heron and @JessRyanNeph. Australians of working age with ANCA-associated vasculitis report effects on financial stability (45%), with 20% no longer working and a further 11% with fewer hours.
