Absolute delight this week to host our friends @LaraBroom over from Portugal🇵🇹who of course were hopeful of seeing the critically endangered adult Rüppell´s #Vulture that has been long staying in the colony nearby! ...Of course they were not disappointed! 😊 #FlywayBirding

One of the highlights of the Go Slow in the Austrian Alps @naturetrektours trip for me was seeing this amazing mammal! Very close the hotel, a 1min drive, and we were looking at 4 Beavers up-close.

First stop of the day at a supermarket with the best views we've seen, we then went up the cable cars and walked around a lake with Alpine Newt. Ended the day with a waterfall walk, highlights being the Dipper and these Lady's Slipper Orchids! @naturetrektours

First full day of the @naturetrektours Go Slow in the Austrian Alps did not disappoint! Went up the highest mountain of Germany on the cable car (from the Austrian side), stunning views, visited a beautiful meadow and ended the day with a Beaver!

Today finishes the @naturetrektours Great Whales in the Azores (Pico) tour and OMG what a way to end! Throughout the week stunning views of many Sperm Whales, two Fin Whales, and to top it all off today we had a group of Risso's Dolphins and one gorgeous Humpback Whale!

Migrants galore and lots more on the last day of @naturetrektours Spring in Portugal tour working with @LaraBroom. My thanks to her for brilliant support.

Here are some bats we recorded at Mértola with @LaraBroom on last week's brilliant @naturetrektours jaunt to Portugal. I'll be identifying these as best I can and double-checking the @_BTO Pipeline's results ... but definitely Common/Soprano Pips and Leisler's!!
