@Lariel_19 He just has this need to prove he's strong and worthy and tries to cut out anything that could get in the way of that image. Even as he's triumphing over adults on the battlefield at 14, he's still young Ajax and yearning for that piece of cake

@BananaMilkBunni I really hope Snezhnaya digs deeper into this story and shows that neither Ajax nor his parents were really happy with this decision.
Now it's just Childe neglecting the memory and makes it into something 'positive'

@Lariel_19 Exactly, and I don't think a 14 year old is capable of nor should they be allowed to make a decision to join the military. No kid whatsoever belongs anywhere near the military, not even if it's "their" decision

I've said it before and I just gotta say it again: There are too many people who have downplayed the tragedy of Childe's story, and all because he "seems" okay, when in fact there are loud signs of the opposite whenever he's on screen

whenever someone sees childe's loyalty to the tsaritsa as not at ALL indicative of something darker im like. yay!! an opportunity to dig into his fundamental beliefs about himself do ask yourself what well-adjusted man is comfortable viewing himself as a tool to be used

@BananaMilkBunni @tanitbox 'ultimate decision'!? Ajax was a minor and not to mention his father felt like he had no choice because of the incident that led to this decision.

@Lariel_19 @tanitbox I remember I had a debate years ago with someone on that bc their perspective was that even tho his father sent him, the ultimate decision was with young Ajax, and there was just...so many things wrong with that angle.
