@chilistudios so crisp!! do you prefer a blanket stitch or a whip stitch for the face? I've heard the whip stitch lies flatter and makes for a better fit, but ive used blanket mainly in the past

I've had 5 friendships in my life. Deep, years long connections with people. We've all drifted apart, or we changed in ways I can't recognize. Maybe that's just part of growing up and finding yourself. Maybe this is how it was meant to be.

Sometimes I have dreams a out friends I used to have. I'll message them, tell them how much I miss them, that im so happy we're talking again. I have my life together now. I don't need to rely on these people for help anymore. This time I just want their friendship.

I know i should move on too. Maybe I internalize how I remember the relationship. Maybe I romanticize them too much. Maybe I've just got it all wrong. Its not for me to say. It just keeps me awake sometimes.

@darigankyrii It really confuses me at the same time though. These people deeply care about animals. Why not actually listen to scientists? Many times the truth is nuanced, and even uncomfortable. But our world is complex. The solution is never as simple as "empty the zoos"

@darigankyrii Often these people genuinely do care about and love animals, but are deeply misinformed. There need to be more science communicators pushing back and defending zoos/sanctuaries, and spreading backed knowledge about what we can really do to protect animals and our environment

If you are going to FWA please be aware that the Georgia aquarium houses Beluga whales..If you are aware of what captivity does to this species💔 The Georgia aquarium is cool, but sadly I cannot support them because buying a ticket supports dolphin and whale captivity 💔💔

Whatever chonk I had around the midsection, burnt off once I started tracking my calories, eating more protein & lifting heavy weights as muscle growth raises your basal metabolic rate. Either way, a 140lb cap is silly. That's the point

If youre above 140 pounds they wont let you purchase and will push you off the nearest tall building instead

@Fosaes Like anything within science, it is nuanced. I've gotten into fights with many fatphobic people that live completely opposite lives than me. The only people telling me if im unhealthy or not should be my doctor. Anything else does not matter.

@Fosaes @DoggiestDoggy Fatphobic people don't understand science but still use it as an excuse to be hateful. "Eat less move more" while they ignore inaccuracy of BMI, understanding physiology between men and women, increased weight due to medical problems, and real benefits of holding extra weight

@DIVIIDAE Like, how does one learn a craft like fursuit building without making premades? Personal suits only? You don't jump right into commissions. That's irresponsible and stressful for everyone involved.

@DIVIIDAE Premades don't really belong in this conversation. Not everyone has the accessibility to make fursuits. The startup is insanely expensive. There is still care gone into the design of the premades, and I personally make them to practice my techniques and learn for commissions.
