Tiny but significant: Astronomers using #NASAWebb have detected an extremely small main belt asteroid just 100 to 200 meters in size—roughly the size of Rome’s Colosseum. The lucky finding suggests Webb can detect many such objects: webbtelescope.pub/3YkBBGU

I grew up in Humboldt & every day, the fire hall siren would go off & let everyone know that it was noon. I'd walk from school to our restaurant, catch 5 minutes of Farm News, & an episode of the Flinstones before heading back.
Was/is this siren thing a thing elsewhere?
