@ellensuTV @TheodorColin I think a lot of people have adopted the objectively correct position to hate AI, but lack the critical eye to detect it, so have just sort of defaulted to throwing accusation of AI us at... everything.

@merrittk I had to leave NYC at one point and live in Asheville for a year. Shortly after getting there, I had a conversation with a guy who kept saying how much of a foodie town Asheville is. I asked him for recommendations and all he could think to suggest was Applebee's.

it's really funny to see hating cities come back in such a huge way in the last few years. yeah man i hate living somewhere that i can walk to the park or take a bus to my friend's place. it's awful to be at the heart of culture, commerce, and community

@eboli_pedro Sorry to hear that. I really enjoyed Cupcake and Dino, and the pitch material you've been able to share for other ideas have had me even more excited to see what comes next. The industry is a real wasteland at the moment but I hope when things turn around you get picked up.

Currently at 43 rejections out of 72 applications. Not one interview.

4 rejections out of 18 applications on my job tracker. I hear people say, "At least you got a response." It still doesn't feel good. 😩

They're probably just hoping better shows are on the way, and unaware of the wasteland the industry is currently traversing.

So Fans, have some empathy for the animators working on any of the remaining animated projects, even if they're not your cup of tea. And Pros, realize most fans aren't celebrating the industry low point.

I think I kind of get where animation fans come from celebrating the cancelation of Velma. Setting people just being dicks aside, I think there's a misconception that like "oh good now the budget and crew that was going to the show i did not like can go to a good show!"
