I’m working on a little video project and I need to lay down some voice-over audio and I want it to sound as good as possible, but I don’t want to have to master Adobe Audition (the interface is intimidating). So I described my project to Grok and he linked me to some tutorial videos on YouTube, one for setting up a recording session and another for applying basic audio correction filters commonly used for documentary-style VO. And then gave me a long, detailed step-by-step workflow for producing/saving the clips. Just tested it and it sounds great. I still don’t like the sound of my own voice, but the quality of the finished product is excellent compared to the raw recordings.

I've always been fascinated by what leads to the decision to become a pants-over-belly guy.

I'm 45, I can't hear any difference in audio quality on my $20 earbuds. It shows every song as liked on the phone lock screen. Every other band has albums listed by goofy DJs or rappers that couldn't be bothered to see if their name is already in use. It's barely even cheaper.

As soon as this trial sub is up, I'm dropping Tidal. If it's just gonna do like Spotify and blast me with shit I've never shown any interest in constantly, I'd just as well have all the other stuff Spotify offers.
