Other principal officers in attendance were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Funsho Omobitan, the Registrar, Mr. Emmanuel A. FANU, the representative of Bursar, Mr Taiwo Omoyin, and the University Librarian, Dr. Omawumi Makinde.

Our Research Coordinator, Prof. Micheal Ahove in his vote of appreciated the Vice Chancellor and the management for their constant support, He gave kudos to the facilitators for a good delivery and acknowledged the presence of the participants for their cooperation.

Also, ACEITSE Centre Leader, Prof. Rasheed Sanni, stressed the importance of the ACE Impact project, particularly intimating the University Management with DLI 7.4, which gives LASU the verge of becoming a better institution.

The VC represented by the DVC Admin, Prof. Adenike Boyo highlighted the importance of priotising the security of data due to the volume of data handled and the high level of security risks in cyberspace.

She emphasised that her administration was dedicated to the goals of the ACE-Impact Project and the University. "We will continue to sustain and improve the excellent academic and administrative performance of the Centre and the entire university”.

Our Lead Facilitator @enikuomehin underscored the importance of the training which is for participants to understand the best practices worldwide and to localize the training done in Kenya on Information Management and Data Security in the university settings.

A throwback to ACEITSE training on Data Management and Information Security. We are pleased to have had an impressive attendance of about (100) participants, comprising Deans, Directors, and HOD’s drawn from 4 Campuses ; Main Campus - Ojo, LASUCOM, Ikeja and Epe, Lagos, Nigeria.

ACEITSE step-down training on ‘Data Management and Information Security’ kicked off with an opening ceremony. The Centre Leader, gave the welcome remarks and the Opening address was delivered by the Vice Chancellor represented by the DVC Administration, Prof. Adenike Boyo.

Date: Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th January 2024 Venue: Senate Chamber, Babatunde Raji Fashola Senate Building, Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos. Time: 9.00 am - 4.00 pm daily. Participants are expected to come with their personal laptops and be seated by 8.30 am.
