Here comes teched out Grimmsnarl! A card or two off from @PokeRajveer’s list on X, this version of the deck capitalizes on the release of Mega Froslass to get a big attack off, and that opens the opportunity to slide Moltres into this deck for those lingering Gholdengo lists. And we take the new 70HP Snorunt to the bank all day every day! Personally, I think it’s better to play the more standard version of this deck right now, but I do like it when Mega Froslass connects on an attack that swings the matchup. I’m sure it will all get figured out by the best Grimmsnarl players soon enough - Houston is right around the corner! 🚨 New Deck Alert 🚨 Okidogi Barbaracle is a competitive Post Rotation deck that functions more like a Fighting-type Box! Barbaracle’s Ability allows to accelerate Fighting Energy from your hand to your Fighting Pokemon in play. Okidogi hits for 170 damage as a single Prizer and is a 230HP beast - Luminous and a Fighting activate its unique Ability! Lunatone and Solrock allow you to draw cards each turn, and offer a cheap attacking option! Tarragon can recover your Fighting Energy and Pokémon to tie this deck all together! It’s kinda great when Fighting Gong also fits in seamlessly with this deck too - can’t forget about that one! Like most single Prizer decks, I’m sure this one will have a cult following, and it might see some success too! I mean any deck with Legacy Energy to make a Pokemon worth 0 Prize Cards has to at least be recent, right?!? Anyways, I’m gonna try testing it some more, and try to refine this archetype the best I can! Ceruledge is the SURPRISE deck that took BOTH final spots at the Puerto Rico Special Event! Why? Well, I have a hunch that the finalists expected a meta filled with N’s Zoroark, Mega Absol, and Gholdengo - and seemingly they were right! With Ascended Heroes swaying the metagame in an interesting direction, Ceruledge might be a hot play for future events, or it might fizzle out as a one time occurrence. Either way, I expect the deck to be more popular now, and to also kick Gholdengo further out of the spotlight - so much so that we might see some decks cut Toedscruel for other techs. I can’t guarantee that this list is the same as either finalist, but I’m assuming it’s decently close. We’ve seen lists get refined over time and I could see the core being very similar. Charcadet versions could change, Drillbur is an option, and maybe there is a hot tech that I ended up missing. I just wanted to post a Ceruledge list so anyone could have access to a decent list for a relatively “rogue” deck to the metagame (at least this meta). I don’t think my list is anything special and it seemed similar to what I could find on Play Limitless online events - I may have changed a card or two from a list I found on there, but don’t 100% remember. MEGA VENUSAAAAAUUUURRRR!!! While it might not be S tier in Post Rotation, Mega Venusaur has plenty of potential with Teal Mask Ogerpon and Meganium by it’s side! Loading up a bunch of Grass Energy, doubling them, and hitting hard with a variety of Pokémon! Forest of Vitality allows for some crazy turns and the comeback potential is strong as long as the draws are with you! Matching League Cup Champion playmat to the LAIC Deck Box is peak! Also, peep the Prize Pack stamped Venusaurs, Ogerpons, Fezandipiti, and a very special Max Rod thanks to @amcharles0 in Seattle! He’s the goat frfr! N’s Zoroark is the talk of the town lately because N’s Zekrom from Ascended Heroes takes the deck to new heights! Being able to OHKO Pokémon with the help of Binding Mochi + Black Belt’s Training is just *chefs kiss* perfection! 🧑‍🍳 💋 Since the results aren’t posted for the Puerto Rico Special Event, I scoured X to see some of the top performing lists from some fantastic players! The list below is heavily inspired by @Bas_Lashmet if not the same 60 he played at the event. Other top players, like @KhusAidan played a similar list too. It seems like many players opted for Toedscruel > N’s Darmanitan to continue the Gholdengo hate (RIP our golden cheese stick boi). For Curitiba and Houston, I expect this trend to continue, but we might see lists go back to Darmanitan if Gholdengo is effectively out of the top meta by then. One look tells me May things about you. Together, you and your Pokémon overcame all of the challenges you faced, however difficult. It means that you’ve triumphed over any personal weaknesses, too. The power you’ve learned… I can feel it emanating from you. Ok, I know I’m being unc by quoting Cynthia, but she’s so cool lmfao! Here is Cynthia’s Garchomp - a powerful Post Rotation deck. I snagged @thefleeee’s list from the Champions League Fukuoka, and it’s running smooth! Big tanky Dragon, powerful attacks, searching for Cynthia’s Pokemon for free, damage modifiers, and HP modifiers too! Rock Fighting Energy is really cool preventing effects of attacks done to the Fighting Pokemon it is attached to so no more Phantom Dive to the Bench! Lots of cool things. And it’s relatively easy to play so it’s great to learn the game with! One thing I noticed from this list is that Surfer is MUCH better Post Ro than now to the point where I pulled them out of my bulk trainers into my playable sorted collection! If you play with bling cards, I highly recommend picking up a FA or SIR version before they spike up! I’m gonna continue to post daily decks in the ASC and Post Rotation format for the foreseeable future so be sure to follow me along for the adventure.
