@SteveMascord Let's see if the decision to change the qualification pathway mid-cycle to Full Members Only helps grow the number of nations playing the sport or even the uptake of Full membership application, as opposed to Affiliate and Observers. Proof will be in the pudding

@Duke2517 Cost is a factor, but wouldn't be entirely impossible. Ideally it returns to a 4-team format, with Colombia back. Beyond that it could be feasible to have 6 or 8 team comps split into north (Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Ecuador) & south (Peru, Uruguay, existing nations)

Chile is the 2024 South American #RugbyLeague champion, despite finishing behind 32-30 in a fiery final round robin game to Argentina in Buenos Aires. With each nation winning 1 game and losing 1 game, Chile finished with a +20 points dif, Argentina (-4) and Brasil (-16)

The greatest #RugbyLeague try that never was? #Argentina try their luck on the 0 tackle well within their own half. Unfortunately for the Argies the play was called back, as the ref blew his whistle for a bad injury suffered by a #Brasil player in the lead-up (ambulance required)

The clock ticking down, 3rd tackle inside your own half...and the winger does this to win the game! Remarkable effort by Brasil to come from 26-4 down against Argentina to win 28-26 on fulltime in Buenos Aires. All teams can still win the South American Champs. #RugbyLeague

In the first game of the 2024 South American #RugbyLeague Championship, Chile has won 44-22 versus Brasil, avenging a 20-18 loss to the same rivals at the last Championships two years ago. Chile will face host Argentina on Sunday to determine who is this year's overall champion.

Brazil's Maria Graf @graaaaf had a ground-breaking 1st season in Australia, named joint Best/Fairest in the entire Sunshine Coast comp, joint Best/Fairest with Noosa Pirates & won the 47th Battalion final. In her 2nd year she is close to a BMD Cup start. chuffed.org/project/mariag…
