There's a pattern. Kenya: Koitalel Arap Samoei went for talks. He was murdered by Richard Meinertzhagen. William Purkiss mortally wounded Waiyaki wa Hinga, claiming he attacked first. He'd gone solo to stop British massacres and left weapons at the gate. They later killed him.

In fact, torture in Kenya can be traced back to the 1890s with allegations that Kikuyu military leader, Waiyaki wa Hinga, was buried alive by British officials. In his book, "Kenya Diary", Richard Meinertzhagen also notes cases of torture against people who aggrieved him.

Done with a book by Bela Szunyogh titled, "Psychological warfare". Next, a book by George Ryley Scott titled, "A History of Torture". In Kenya's history, torture dates back to the Mau Mau days in an effort to suppress the revolt. In the 90s, we had torture house chambers.

@mainandegwa232 Namesake of William J Purkiss who precipitated the 1892 arrest of Waiyaki wa Hinga, a revered Kikuyu leader after a disagreement. Waiyaki was eventually shot after his arrest and buried alive by the British. Robert James Purkiss just might come from the same family.

@yomgqashiyo Waiyaki wa Hinga of the Gikuyu people and Koitalel arap Samoei of the Nandi community, both in Kenya, were lured by the colonialists for negotiations and killed. Waiyaki was buried alive, Samoei was shot and beheaded - some of his body parts are in the British museum to date.
