I had a very humbling reflection at the end of our @LaunchGood onsite in Bursa. We actually had been in Bursa 7 years prior, in 2019. Back then (photo on left) the whole team could fit at a single dinner table - now we take over the whole restaurant (photo on right) And the team has changed dramatically. Only 3 of the people in the first photo are still at LaunchGood, yet the mission remains the same, and the impact has grown 100x LaunchGood has truly become an organization bigger than any one person, even the founders. This is the dream of every founder: what they’ve created can outlive them I pray it only grows stronger from here, and I’m blessed to continue to lead this team into that future 🤲

Bright Horizon Academy is located within the Islamic Center of San Diego, the mosque at the center of Monday’s horrific attack that martyred Br. Amin Abdullah, Mansour Kaziha, and Nadir Awad. The selfless acts of these three heroes saved the lives of so many others, including the students and staff of Bright Horizon Academy. Our hearts are with the students, families, educators, and staff affected by the shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego earlier this week. Amin Abdullah. He stood his ground so others could make it home safely. When gunmen opened fire outside the Islamic Center of San Diego, Amin protected the community until his final moments. Police say his actions prevented the attack from becoming far worse. Support Amin’s family with funeral costs, immediate household needs, education for his children, and long term financial stability.
