
While I agree with a lot of things you say and the good things you have done, this time I’m disappointed with your reply. I agree that 0f the 12% they will be a portion that are benefit orientated. My grandchild was born early and has cerebral palsy and cannot use the whole right side, he also has a shunt in his brain to keep him alive.
What he would like more than anything is to be able to run and climb trees but he can’t
I also have another grandchild that has significant autism and finds it difficult to function in society, all she wants is a friend, but unfortunately she just gets bullied and called weird. She is the most loving caring child you could ever meet. She has had children arrange to meet up with her and she is so happy but when she got there they picked on her said very unkind words she had to run and hide.
So before people start saying benefits is the reason, they need to make it clear that not all 12% are claiming their children have a disability just for benefits
