We hope these results contribute to raising awareness of the vulnerability of fetuses and children to temperature, stressing the need to design public health strategies to protect the most vulnerable communities in the face of the ongoing climate emergency 🌍

Our findings suggest that cold and heat exposure during periods of rapid brain development, such as pregnancy, infancy, and toddlerhood, negatively impacts white matter development. Children living in neighborhoods with a lower socioeconomic status seem to be more vulnerable
