@LauraMacCBC @Spotify I'd love to chat! But I don't have a dumbphone ... yet, until the box from Amazon arrives. Want me to ask around at @kluein and see if anyone can be a good source?

Phone nerds of Twitter ... In #Canada ... ---- What's our options for a #dumbphone with @Spotify? ---- That doesn't require side loading apk's or finding Doug's* reddit post from 4 years ago with 183 easy steps to hacking some weird OS. * No offense to Doug, of course.

@victorJ0NES Hi Victor, I'm a producer with CBC News in Toronto Canada. I'm looking to interview someone who has made the switch from smartphone to dumbphone. Is that you? If so, could we chat? I'm at laura.macnaughton@cbc.ca

Remember when we learned that Instagram connected a vast network of child predators? That was literally less than two weeks ago. Instagram helped pedophiles find child porn and nothing happened to him. Instead, Zuckerberg is now launching new apps with the goal of using the data from Instagram to compete with Twitter. And their data privacy is so bad that they can't even launch it in the EU yet.

I could yak about TFSAs, RSPs, ETFs, jobs and grocery prices forever But after decades of talking about how money is made, saved and invested, it seems on brand to retire early So I am doing it. TODAY. "Jeannie Lee, CBC News, Toronto" 🧵How it started; how it's gone so far

Now 715. I should note that this includes colleagues with tenuous visa situations, a colleague who was literally in the hospital with the birth of their first child, signatories in the air on their way to Thanksgiving break, and many others. The support here was shocking
Evan Morikawa@E0M

There are now over 700 signers and counting (out of ~750 employees) to our letter calling for unity & board ouster. The 550 the media reported was just the signatures we could get between 1:30am and 5am PT last night. This was everyone staying up and calling each other in support

About 650 / 770 signed at this moment. As people start waking up, more will come. All the efforts started after 1:30 AM, 500+ within two hours and all of this after 2 crazy days with very little sleep.

There is a CN network wide system failure that is affecting all rail corridors. Trains are holding at their nearest stations. Our teams are working with CN to resolve the issue quickly and safely. We will provide an update when more information becomes available.

New data: Toronto is slow to return to the office, in the downtown core. Is the long commute to blame? There is a growing belief that this change is here to stay.... Average weekly - 51% Peak Day - Wednesday 68% Slow Day - Monday 27%

@jen_keesmaat My commute used to be close to two hours each way. No way am I interested in going back to that again. WFH has been proven that it works.

@jen_keesmaat In tech, I wouldn't even consider working at a company that required an office commute. And I'm pretty sure I'm not alone. 51% traffic is likely going to be it for recovery.

@jen_keesmaat I will never spend 4 hours a day in my vehicle again, and nowhere in my lifetime will there be reasonable transit from my community in northeast Scarborough to downtown.
