My first birthday without you Laura.

We had a four legged friend come and spread some magical joy on @RainbowWardWWL this afternoon! 🐶 Mabel and her owner, WWL volunteer Amy Causey, visited our patients to give lots of furry cuddles in time for Christmas 🥰

This time, 5 yrs ago we took Laura in a taxi to @NHSHomerton
She was v sick & had the worst headache, an eye test the day before had raised concerns, so she was sent for a CT scan & our lives changed forever
Only 5% of people with #GBM live 5 yrs.
We miss her so much

The curtain’s half closed but the window’s open & we feel the breeze & hear the birds
Laura breathes in & breathes out. When the gap gets long I hold my breath but she’s as tenacious in death as she was in life, despite a week without food or water.
We hold hands & she squeezes❤️
