I have a shiny new set of mini whiteboards. It's my first time using these, so it could go really well or really badly. Any advice? (Secondary context, English)
How do you get students to understand the proficiency scale? Have them create a personalized example of their own stages of learning! @Byng_Elementary@sd38learn#sd38#bced#atasses
@travlr21@keithbaldrey You do not have to wait for an invite for your booster. Many pharmacies have drop in times. We got ours done in 15 minutes dropping in mid August, and we got to pick which vaccine.
@keithbaldrey Apparently not 6 months for everyone. Hubby and I had our 3rd shot early Jan. We got the invite for shot 4 this weekend, we are both late 60s. It will end up almost 10 months between the 3rd & 4th.
@BrianMendler Set it up so that the child can overhear you say something positive about them… Eavesdropping at its finest, I’ve had students tell me that they put more effort into their work because they heard me tell the principal that I was impressed with their increasing effort.
Words all kids love hearing:
1. Welcome. We missed you.
2. I’m so glad you are here.
3. I believe (in) you.
4. I was wrong. I apologize.
5. I love having you in my class.

@ThatEricAlper I sing to my dog just about every morning before I leave for work. Usually to the tune of Copacabana. “His name is Magoo, he is a show dog….”
