Antitrust law should not deter AI developers from collaborating to address security issues such as cyberattack capabilities, distillation, deception, and model weight security. LRI has submitted comments to DOJ and the FTC on this topic.

The USG has a range of available tools to respond to these attacks and impose meaningful costs on the entities responsible, including adding the Chinese labs to the BIS Entity List and applying sanctions under a purpose-built IEEPA executive order or existing authorities. (4/5)
