In a word, attraction to feminine-presenting trans women can trigger internal conflict-- tied to heterosexuality/homosexuality definitions ("I'm turned on... maybe I'm a perv"🙂), leading to overcompensation. They feel confused and threatened... "transPHOBIC", particularly regarding trans women. They can more easily tolerate trans men simply because trans men don't (secretly) turn them on.
