@abuckslater The founder of the Skirball Center, Uri Herscher, spent two years in rabbinic school as the commuting rabbi to our small congregation in Dubuque, Iowa. He would step in front of the bima and give riveting perfectly composed sermon/talks without a note.

Along the 405 is the Skirball Center, where I was all day yesterday. It’s an amazing place, dedicated to the Jewish value of “welcoming the stranger,” where I saw families of all cultures, our kid lit conference, a wedding. I support my Jewish friends and the Jewish people.❤️

@Zathras3 @Tony4WI Did Evers do any prep for this debate? He often seemed confused and comments were half-baked, like his comparing Conn. and WI school spending. Seemed sort of random without connecting Michels and Conn.

@synathroesmus @WisconsinDPI "The Am. Century" -- our economic boom and worldwide dominance was built on universal public education. Shifting to unregulated schools w/out teacher requirements is a step backwards; many of these schools do not teach science or believe in it. Good luck competing with China.

Earlier this year, I took a deep dive b/c I was informed by @WisconsinDPI that it no longer keeps "information regarding the religious affiliations" of private schools in these programs. And it should not be understated that the percentage of religious schools just keeps growing.

Understand that @michelsforgov wants to expand these vouchers & defund public schools b/c currently, 95% (!) of schools in the Milwaukee, Racine and Statewide Private School Choice Programs provide "religious-based education as the PRIMARY purpose" of their educational programs.

Tim Michels says we should defund public schools, give parents vouchers for private schools, and end the "CRT." Evers points out that this position is radical. And that CRT isn't taught in schools, ABCs are. And of course we should teach the real history of race and racism.

@ForOurFutureWI Oh, thanks for comment. NOW I know why Evers compared the per student spending in Conn. to Wis. However, he forgot to mention the dollars he was citing were per-student stats or to connect Michels to Conn. I bet his team was hitting their heads as he whiffed over and over.

@DanielBice I guess Evers' crackerjack team thought the biggest issue he could address was his alarm clock. He sure got his punch in on that one! Meanwhile he missed a half-dozen knockout blows by not even swinging.

Michels uses the last question to defend the work culture at Michels Corp. Evers lets people know that he goes to bed late and gets up early. The suggestion that he sleeps in is a "bunch of crap."
