Year 4 enjoyed fun in the sun today 😀 🌞

Year 4 enjoyed their trip to Hartlepool Power Station and Teesmouth Field Centre last week. They looked at how electricity is made, and searched for shells and naturally formed objects on the beach. It was a fantastic day out 😀

Year 6 enjoyed their trip to Hartlepool Power Station and Teesmouth Field Centre last week. We had a lot of fun looking around the station and searching for different types of creatures that can live on our shores.

Year 2 had a brilliant Sports Day #LayfieldPE

Reception had a fabulous morning at one of our parents allotments. We learnt lots about what vegetables they were growing, and were able to pick some raspberries. The children loved planting their own carrot and peas seeds. We can’t wait to see if they grow!🌱🫛🥕

Year 4 enjoyed joining @HeyPobble for National Writing Day and their live lesson with Simon and Katie. Our short stories are all intriguing and we had lots of interesting discussions about the picture prompt.

A massive well done to the Year 6 girls’ netball team who won every game of netball they played and were the overall winners of the tournament! 🌟

Year 6 had a fantastic STEM day at Yarm School yesterday. They took part in a range of activities and worked with a number of local STEM businesses.

Year 6 have made the most of the sunshine this morning, exploring wind speed as part of 🫧Geography Fieldwork Week!🫧

Year 2 had a fun afternoon at Conyers Multi-sports festival #LayfieldPE

Our amazing Year 5 school ambassadors are heading to @BaderPrimary after school for a celebration of all the school ambassadors’ work from across the trust. Good luck presenting your findings! ⭐️⭐️

Year 6 have created World War 2 exhibits and presented them to our class.

Year 2 had a wonderful visit to Raby Castle last week 🏰

Last Friday, we had a special assembly with Matt from Teesside Mind. We talked about different ways to look after our mental health and our upcoming Colour Run on Wednesday 25th June. All children have been given a sponsor form to help with their fundraising.
