I still simply don't understand how Google got so confident that they let search degrade to be completely replaceable outside of autocomplication use cases.

@paulabartabajo_ True, the closest it gets: allows it’s creators and sophisticated users to craft a future by shaping which patterns are shown, the meanings given, and the ability to scale any message authoritatively back in to the system creating new patterns to find.

Machine Learning models do not predict the future. They just find patterns in the past.

Just as in code, mental updates are harder than initial writes. Expanding knowledge is easy. Especially when it strengthens your pattern matching. Appropriately invalidating and updating what you “make it mean” when you get new inputs is harder. But it’s worth it.

@CFDevelop Consider it less a replacement. Write the synthesis to make it easier to walk people through. Then once they get it they can have the doc as their reference | go back & grok nuance. Use the explanations to refine the written.

I strongly believe in writing docs. At the same time, I also believe in efficiency. I'm not going to write something if I don't think people will read it. I can't count the number of times I've written something, only to be asked "Can we get a walkthrough of this?" Advice?

Stop asking for feedback on how to grow from people who don’t see your value. If they don’t understand your gifts they can’t grow them. Seek knowing their perspective and perhaps influencing it. But these are not the guides you are looking for.
