@ZachLowe_NBA thoughts? And from 11 in each conference, at the end of 72, we cut to 10 and have play-in and playoffs as usual. Perhaps cut teams could release or loan or trade players to teams moving on.

Expanding on @BillSimmons “relegation” idea. Here’s a better solution. Expand to 32 teams. Play everyone twice. 62 games. Cut the bottom 5 in each conference 11 teams remaining in each conf. Play everyone in conf once more (5 home and 5 away. 10 games 72 game season. Done! #nba
