I recently spotted a dry-aging fridge at a sushi restaurant, set to 35°F with 81% humidity. During dry-aging, proteins break down and boost amino acids, which amps up the umami flavor. I can’t help but wonder if this fridge came from that closed restaurant in SF

For the first time in a while, I had an opportunity to visit a restaurant of this caliber. These are some of the courses I had at one Michelin starred Auro. The amuse-bouche was served with a glass of champagne at the entrance. What a start to the evening!
It looked like a complete thali. My favorite Indian meal. Any recommendations for Indian restaurants in the South Bay or Peninsula?

According to the brewery’s website, the rice was milled down to at least 60%. I’m guessing they called it tokubetsu instead of ginjo because it wasn’t made using the ginjo brewing style. Lately, I’ve been really into this type of sake.

I didn’t have much expectation for a sake sold in a cup like this and was taken by surprise. For a futsu-shu, which is not specially designated category, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would

Sake challenge with Italian food. We discussed challenges of pairing sake with Italian food. It was a fun evening! Thank Sake Trend for sharing the sake made with wine yeast, the Koedo Kagamiyama. I brought the Kawatsuru Olive.
For the first time in a long time, I dined outdoors, and it was a lovely day. I enjoyed meatballs and pizza.
